Miss. America Stakes Draws Nominations of Forty-One WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., June 2. — Racing secretary Larry Bogen-schutz has announced the nominations of 41 two-year-old fillies for the Miss America Stakes, which will feature next Saturdays Lincoln Fields program at Washington Park. The race is endowed with 0,000 in added money and the distance is five furlongs. This will be the fourth running of the Miss America since it was established in 1948 as a separate race for fillies when the Joliet Stakes was restricted to colts and geldings. The winners of the first three runnings of the Miss America were Miss Sal K. in 1948, Miss Stephanie in 1949, Juliets Nurse in 1950.
