ONWARD MARCH, well ridden, was in hand to the last three-eighths, assumed command nearing the stretch and drew clear under a good hand ride. COUNTRY EDITOR, a keen factor from the beginning, reached the lead after racing EASY QUERO into defeat, continued willingly under punishment, but could not hold the winner. JUST-MADE-IT lacked early speed, moved up fast after going a half, mile, then was unable to better his position while under brisk urging. VINITA WAR saved ground throughout, but could not threaten the leaders. FAVORITE TRAP was far back throughout. VINITA MAJOR tired after showing early speed. FULL GAINER showed nothing. MY JAM, outrun and saving ground to the last three-eighths, moved up fast entering the stretch, and responding to punishment, wore down the leaders during the last sixteenth. RESORT, in hand to the upper turn, was sent to the front with a rush, held a short lead when settled for the drive, but could not withstand the winner. COPPER POT, under a poorly judged ride, was sent to the extreme outside for the stretch run and closed willingly on his our courage. -CHALVAAL made a mild bid entering the stretch, but faltered during the drive. LUCKY D00 tired after racing forwardly placed to the last eighth mile. POLAR BATTLE had a rough trip; WINABET tired after racing well to the last quarter mile. ANOTHER ENORA was through early. MEL INDIAN could not keep up. Attendance, 16,075; Total Mutuel Pool, 34,437
