FROZEN CUSTARD, outrun to the final quarter mile, drove up along the inside, was lucky as the leaders swung wide, secured command and drew out. PHARALUS, slow to settle into best stride, came to the outside and was going well at the, end. MARSE ROBERT, a forward factor from the start, saved ground and was pressing for the lead in the stretch. TINTINA, in hand while kept within striking distance of the pace, rallied between horses, but was not good enough. WAR CHAMP was urged to stay with the pace and had nothing left. MARUCA sped to the front at once, increased margin before a quarter mile, shortened stride and drifted out. GERHAM was used up forcing the pace. PANGO PANGO passed tiring horses. JEAN METER drew clear soon after the start, maintained the lead to the stretch, drifted out while challenged and just lasted over FIESTA. The latter was sent up on the outside rounding the turn, came to the outside of the leader and pressed to the end. FEEFIFOFUM, forwardly placed, was timidly taken back, sent to the inside and closed willingly in the late stages. PITFALL raced wide on the final turn. SUPROGRAPH saved ground to no avail. GOOD SWEEP showed nothing. GAMS was never prominent. GUNNER weakened after driving up along the inside to near contention. DOBY was never prominent. CHIP was outrun. MESTIZA raced in closest attendance of the pace, saved ground on the turns, responded to steady urging and outfinished EXEMPLAR. The latter was urged to gain the early lead, allowed to increase the margin leaving the backstretch, skirted the inner rail and shortened stride. SEEMLY rallied mildly in the late stages. TALLTOWN was under steady pressure, but was unable to make up ground. CHALL WIND drove up abreast the leaders along the inside, was eased back near the turn, continued to save ground, but lacked a rally. STEPS GIRL weakened. ALAS was never . prominent. GAY PRINCE bounced into a command lead at once, was steadied on the turns, came out to the middle of the track through the stretch and held on well under pressure. FIGHTING BACK was unable to keep up early, moved along the inside rounding the turn and finished stoutly. FERN GOLD raced in closest attendance of the leader and held on stubbornly. EDWARD T. saved ground, swerved under pressure and tired. WAR TOKEN lacked a rally after moving up on the outside. THEATRE PASS passed tiring horses. GO BETWEEN showed nothing. OFF AT 3:58 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. HARD HELD, in hand while remaining within striking distance of the leader, moved readily when roused, was carried very wide by SUNNYCREST GAL, came back in after getting command and drew clear along the rail. SUNNYCREST GAL sprinted into a commanding lead, drifted out badly on the final turn, came back to the inside after losing the lead and held on stubbornly. COLUMN, sluggish in the early stages, worked his way up, along the inside, but was unable to menace. SHOTRAL had no mishap. KHYBER PASS slipped through along the inside nearing the stretch, challenged briefly and faltered. GOLDEN CLOVER weakened in the drive. FAIR APPRAISAL, outrun to the final half mile, moved along inside to near contention entering the stretch, came to the outside for the drive and was along in the final stride to get the nod over SUFFAZON. The latter moved swiftly along the inside to engage the leader entering the stretch, assumed a short lead and just missed. FOUR CHANCES- opened a clear lead at once, was steadied while setting a rapid pace, skirted the inner rail and held on stubbornly when challenged. ANDYS GLORY, in hand to the final three furlongs, moved readily when roused, but was unable to remain on a straight course and finished near the outside rail. PEACE MISSION was through early. VINITA REV, forwardly placed under steadying restraint, remained in* hand to the final quarter mile, rallied to engage the leader and had to be hard ridden to edge away from JADE LAD at the end. The latter slipped through along the rail to assume command leaving the backstretch, saved ground and held on stubbornly to the end. BLACK DISC closed willingly under late pressure. PEGASUS II. was sent up on the outside before a half mile, engaged the leader, dropped back and raced wide into the stretch, then lacked a closing rally. THOUSAND SHIPS set the pace for a half mile,-held on gamely to the final turn, then weakened. JUNE AYR was outrun. RODNEY R. was not ready at the start and was never a factor. The latter rallied when put to pressure and was pressing under stout urging. DINNER PARTY, in hand while kept in close attendance of pace, moved to engage the leader entering the final furlong, but was. not good enough. BACHELOR BOY, close up throughout, saved ground, but lacked a closing rally. BELRATE had no mishap. FULGURA, taken back off the pace and steadied to final half mile, was unable to make up appreciable ground. BALLAST dwelt at start and was a distant trailer throughout. REYNOLDS JR. was taken back and steadied to the final quarter mile, then failed to respond to steady urging. FLYING MILE had no mishap. TASSO T. was rushed boldly after a half mile, neared the pace, then faltered. FOSTERS PRIDE was used up forcing the pace. RAY K. established the paced for a mile then stopped.
