Blentigo, Kasco Knight Meet at Suffolk Today Both Sophomores Are Eligible for Saturdays Constitution Handicap SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 4. — Seven three-year-olds, two of whom are eligible for the Constitution Handicap on Saturday, are entered in the Nahant Purse, a mile and 70 yards allowance event featured on tomorrows program at Suffolk Downs. Ralph Lowes Blentigo and Mrs. George Seabos Kasco Knight are the stakes candidates in the Nahant line-up, and favoritism for the test will be divided between that pair. Blentigo will have a running" mate should the stable start O. L. Fosters Sailing High. " Sam H., Proud Sir, Marymigirl and Trucha round out the field for the Nahant. Strangely enough while the two choices have failed to- annex top honors during their current campaign, the above named quartet each boasts "one triumph in New England this year. Blentigo was acquired from Calumet Farm last season and gave indications of a profitable purchase in his early starts in. the silks of his Texas owner. As the juvenile season of the Blenheim n. — Ore the Lea colt progressed a series of disappointing efforts were recorded. He proved very erratic and developed a tendency to bear in just enough to cause his defeat in four different events. Blentigo managed to win one race as a two-year-old. So far this season he has duplicated his 1950 form, but his last three races at the local course have been promising. Once second and twice third is the record the Lowe colt has established here. Kasco Knight raced many more times than his chief rival last season, winning twice. Before shipping north from Florida, the son of Gilded Knight — Devilish Cona scored impressively to endorse his chances in tomorrows engagement. In his two local outings, Kasco Knight finished second each time. A top performance in the Nahant should earn a starting berth for either Kasco Knight or Blentigo in Saturdays Constitution. Sam H., by virtue of his score over Proud Sir and Marymigirl, appears the best of the others in the Nahant. That race was at a mile and one-sixteenth; a distance that Marymigirl also has scored at the meeting. Proud Sir reached his peak during the recent Lincoln Downs meeting, winning impressively at seven furlongs. Trucha has confined his efforts at spring distances, but tomorrows added distance should not hamper his chances.
