Shag Tails, Pur Sang Work DETROIT, Mich., May 28. Milton Shag-rins homebred three-year-old colt, Shag Tails, who started in the 1952 Kentucky Derby, visited the good track here this morning and worked five furlongs in 1:01, handily. Springbrook Farms Pur Sang, victor in the 1951 renewal of the Peabody Memorial, and the 1950 running of the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, was out for a half-mile breeze, which he accomplished in a clever :50. Shag Tails and Pur Sang probably will be starters here Friday in the three-quarters mile F. M. Alger Memorial Handicap, traditional Memorial Day holiday headliner.
