SPECIAL NURSE was alertly sent into a clear lead, widened on the field on the stretch turn, then was ridden out while tiring at the end. MARKED GAME was hustled forwardly from the start, came to the inside to save ground in the drive and finished willingly. JERKY could not match speed with the winner, but held on gamely. CALICO CAT came from far back with belated courage. GOLDEN METEOR had no excuse. HOPEFUL SUE was outrun. RIDGE RUNNER showed nothing. TIDEHEAD raced within striking distance on the outside, moved up to challenge with ASH TRAY at the head of the stretch and outfinished that one under a prolonged drive. ASH TRAY was prominently placed while racing on the inside, appeared to have been slightly crowded on the stretch turn, but continued resolutely and just missed. ALEXIS raced on the outside while gradually improving position and finished gamely. DOLLARGOFAST improved position while racing between horses and finished fastest of all. SUNNY BONES bore out on the turn. SWEET BUTTER began sluggishly and was blocked behind horses in the last furlong. BOLO RUNAWAY was hard pressed while showing speed and faltered. HAY MOM quit. MERRY MOUNT was energetically ridden to shake off contention rounding into the stretch, then lasted under extreme pressure and held ESTUARY safe. The latter was well placed behind the first flight, closed fast from the outside in the stretch run and was quickly getting to the winner. INFLUENCE swung around horses for the drive and finished willingly. SADDLE BAGS was a keen factor while saving ground and held on fairly well. LOVER THE BOOM had speed and faltered. MIDAS WELL hesitated at the break, quickly reached contention on the inside and tired. TIME HONORED bore out on the turn. LUCK STONE was outrun. TIGER JAY was sent along in closest pursuit of the pace, disposed of MOOREA under punishment in the drive and rapidlv opened a long lead LADY LIKE raced prominently placed and finished well. AMBROSE was slow to reach stride and caught tirinc horses while saving ground. MOOREA had her usual speed into the stretch, drifted to the inside and-quit SODALE was not a serious threat. BIG KEIS was closing fast on the inside when MOOREA drifted to the inside, blocking his opening and, running up on her heels, stumbled bandly and .almost lost rider. Big Keis claimed by D. G. Neuman. PHOENICIA was sent to the front immediately after the start, shook free of the opposition to. open a long lead entering the stretch and won handily. MIRTHMAKER, slow to reach stride and far back, closed resolutely when heavily roused for the stretch run and quickly put away the others. FIGHTING MAD was a forward factor, but bore out badly on the turn forcing back CURTAIN TIME, then lacked a rally in the stretch drive. INANABOUT was lightly rated while vying for the early lead, then bore out slightly on the final turn and dropped back. REMEMBRANCE could not reach the front under hustling and faltered. EASTERN MORN was outrun. CURTAIN TIME was racing between horses and dropped back when in close quarters midway of the turn. Overweight Phoenicia, 1 pound. Mr. Boots claimed by Mrs. W. E. Fitts.
