Pensava Works Seven Furlongs in 1 :27 at Camden GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 12. — Although there is no racing at Garden State Park on Sunday or Monday, there is no respite for the thoroughbreds who are being aimed for important stakes engagements. A number of eligibles for coming fixtures were on the training track over the week end. One of the most impressive workouts was turned in by Joseph Gavegnanos Pensava, prepping for Saturdays 0,000 Valley Forge Handicap. The Pensive gelding displayed high speed in working seven furlongs in 1:27. Duntreath Farms Whiff en-poof was clocked in :52% for four furlongs. Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords Post Card continues to train well, and an easy spin of six furlongs, without urging, in 1:14 is his latest effort. Juveniles who are looking forward to the 0,000 William Penn Stakes of May 23 were also caught in private trials. Mrs. Sara Chaits Cardinal Song and Putnam Stables Valley King were in company for a four furlong spin, and were timed in :50, breezing all the way. Arthur W. Halls Rags, a son of Okapi, whirled four furlongs in :50%, and Happy Hill Farms Shock Trooper dashed the same distance in :50%.
