TOURING CHIP moved with determination nearing the far turn, and easily wresting the leadership from DONNA H., was not in trouble thereafter. SHOW ME TOO improved her position steadily and was going well at the finish. DONNA H. took command after going a quarter but tired in the stretch. PRETTY RUTH made up ground. BLUE ROGUE went very wide on the first turn and was never a contender. POPS PAL and COURT SAPHO tired. INTENTION bore out badly on the first turn. WHIZ-A-BIT was never far away and saved ground on the stretch turn, then came to the outside of BOX TRADE in the last sixteenth to wear him down and get to the front near the end BOX TRADE cut to the inside as soon as possible after the start and took a good lead around the first turn, then saved ground, but was unable to hold the winner. FAIR PORTER was never too far away in an even effort. BIG QUESTION made up some ground. CUBAN HEELS tired. OUR GIFT failed to figure seriously. FLAMING TERA went to the front at once and had no trouble drawing away from the others when ready, but was shaken up in the last sixteenth when ROYCE challenged. ROYCE, never too far removed, advanced slowly in the last quarter. COCKOFTHEWALK came to the inside in the stretch to close gamely next to the rail. PAJARA was going well at the finish. ARGYROULA went to the front soon after the start and, withstanding the bid of LYLES FIRST when the latter tried to get through on the inside around the far turn, drew out slightly nearing the stretch turn, but was required to do her best to win narrowly. LYLES FIRST moved into an opening on the inside of ARGYROULA on the far turn, but was unable to find sufficient racing room and was forced to ease back, then came to the outside in the stretch and just failed to get up. The rider of LYLES FIRST claimed foul against ARGYROULA and the claim was not allowed. RUTHS VACATION moved up strongly in the stretch and was close up at the end. TEST PATTERN saved ground in the early stages to get to the front on the backstretch and successfully withstanding a challenge from TEXAS RAIN, was going away from the latter at the finish. TEXAS RAIN was always a strong contender and moved up on equal terms with TEST PATTERN, rounding the stretch turn but weakened in the final drive. GRAND JUROR saved ground where possible and was going well at the finish. QUEEN APACHE made up some ground. BEAMING LIGHT had good speed but lost her chance by racing wide throughout. NIGHT TOWN was saved until after a half mile had been traversed, then moved very fast to catch RED COMET weakening and drawing away in the last eighth, won as her rider pleased. BARBARA L. lacked much early speed but had no trouble disposing of the others in the stretch. ANUNY ONE dropped back to last place nearing the far turn but came again in the stretch. CROSSBOW GIRL raced on the outside for the most part. BLUE RUNNER dropped out of it right after the start and was never a serious contender. RED COMET and PRETTY CINDY tired. BIG RUN went to the front early and, although headed momentarily by MOLLY MARIE on the backstretch, drew away from the latter again nearing the stretch turn to save ground and win under mild pressure. BROWN PIRATE was saved early and, coming to the outside on the stretch turn, went wide in the stretch, but was gaining. HASTY SUN made a good run through the stretch. FAIR STRIKE weakened.
