FONDEST, badly outrun early, circled her field when rallying cn the stretch turn and wore down the leaders in the final strides. MARPHIL, prominent from the start, saved ground and held on gamely. UPSETTER engaged EASTER HOUR early, put that one away while under pressure between calls in the stretch and gave way only slightly in the closing stages. LEES HIGHPEP had no apparent excuse-in an even effort. JAKABLOM failed to reach a striking position. JR., held in reserve early, moved from the outside on the second turn to wrest command on entering the stretch and prevailed in a stiff drive. FOLLY MILLS badly .outrun for the first half-mile, came exceedingly wide into the stretch and finished full of run. LOW SKY raced extremely wide throughout and finished with good courage. JOE HASTE engaged BLEMISH early, saved ground and faltered after wresting command a quarter out. LITTLE COLLEEN had no apparent mishap in an even effort. SAILOR LAD was always far back.
