M0R0 pressed the pace in the opening half mile, dropped back in the stretch, then came again in the late stages. FIREBRAKE was much used while making up ground on the outside, threatened boldly in the stretch and faltered. THE TORMENTIL lacked early speed. KUM FIRST was forwardly placed and lacked a closing rally. ST. JUDE tired after setting the early pace. REVENGER had no excuse. WOLF WHISTLE came out of the race lame. HEUREUX was through early. CAROL S., never far back, steadied momentarily at the furlong post when lacking room and closed best of the others. NEW DICE had speed until the stretch and faltered. INROAD moved through on the inside after a sluggish beginning and lacked a closing rally. KENNA REWARD was forwardly placed and had no excuse. ONE LIGHT tired. SIERRAS FIRST ran wide leaving the turn when tiring. -BUSY BETTY went -well for a half mile and gave way. MOVIE QUEEN showed nothing. BERMUDA LILY sulked. The latter made the pace from the start regained a clear advantage when hard put in the stretch .and -could not resist the top one. PIE BED had to be steadied along the rail when blocked most of the way on the turn and finished with good courage when clear FLYING TRINITY was a sharp factor the opening half mile and weakened. ETERNAL MIKE tired after vying for the early lead. BIT 0 BIM had no excuse. NICKEY W. was through early. ORCO went forwardly placed until leaving the turn and gave way. The latter obtained room on the inside when steadily improving position, took command on the final turn and could not resist the top one while holding on clearly .best of the others. HONEYS ALIBI vied for command until the final guarter mile and weakened. STYRUNNER moved up on the outside to loom a stout threat and gave way through the drive. TILE KING was forwardly placed until midway of the final turn and shortened strides. CLAMOR took up when BLUE LEM broke down. TRIM DESTINY tired. AURORA BLEU tired from her early efforts. LEESTOWN was blocked and hemmed in entering the turn and stumbled and nearly went down at the three-furlong post. FREE TOO was outrun.
