Lee; bred by J. W. Rodgers. IN GATE 5:12. OFF AT 5:12 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won easily; second and third driving. MARTHAS WAVE, forced to race wide on the first turn, moved up rapidly on the backstretch, displaced the leaders without need of urging and won in hand. FIREY ADEL, allowed to settle into stride early, went up strongly to reach a contending position on the final turn and was no match for the winner. ECHO ROCK came by tired horses with a mild belated bid. BLENMINT tired, as did JACK KENNY. BUSTER BUTTONS made the early pace and gave way once displaced. ROSE PEARL went forwardly for a half mile and tired, as did IFORU. Scratched 527783 Helix, 108; 519031 Bet Happy, 114. . - EIGHTH RACE 1 MILE. Wal-Dot-0, July 10, 1954 1:375 3 105. BOOGIE WATCH, on the rail while on nearly even terms for command, drew clear under punishment in the stretch, tired at the end and just lasted. BEAU RAMBLER, steadied while never far back, failed to respond when called upon in the stretch, then was rapidly getting to the winner in the late stages. GREAT MOGUL was always prominent and had no excuse. ADENA loomed a mild threat on the final turn and faltered when set down for the drive. ANDYS DREAM tired from her early efforts. LENAS GIRL was through early. Scratched 52773 Emotional, 112. Overweight Jays Mom, 1 pound. Atrendace, 5,380; Total Mutuel Pool, 49,067.
