D0G00N was off forwardly and after following the pace of CORPICK rlosely to the stretch, came to the outside of the latter on the turn to forge to the front and was not threatened thereafter. TRENTONIAN was always within striking distance and finished with good courage on the outside. SPEED ROUSER saved ground in the stretch and went well to the end. RIVER GATE trailed until well into the stretch, then moved up in resolute fashion. CORPICK had the most early speed but bore out on the stretch turn and weakened. IMPERIAL JAY had speed from the start and coming to the outside of PASTORAL on the stretch turn to take command, went well to the finish but was doing his best to hold LITTLE TIGER. The latter gained steadily after entering the final furlong and just failed to get up. MAD HARHAM raced fairly well up and was easily best of the rest. TEDDYS REVIEW was close enough early and had no apparent excuse. PASTROL, tired in the stretch. PIRATES ALLEY bore out badly, entering the backstretchand lost all chance. NEAL moved up on the outside nearing the stretch turn to challenge but weakened slightly in the final drive. PAR BOY opened up a good advantage while setting the pace but had little left. RUSTUM closed some ground. ELEVENPOINT was badly outrun.
