June 22.— Thirteen of the 15 original nominees were named in the overnight entries for tomorrows Arlington feature atraction at Washington Park, the ,000 Princess Doreen Stakes, six-furlong dash for three-year-old fillies. In some respects the Princess Doreen will be a repeat performance, one year later, of the 1942 Arlington Lassie Stakes, in which the Kentucky breeder, Hal Price Headley attempted a grand slam by starting four fillies. The Lassie was won by Wal-mac Farms Fad. but Headley carried off second and fourth money. Fad. making her first start of the season as a three-year-old, is in the Princess Doreen. Headley named three of the same four he started in the Lassie last year — Askmenow, who finished second in that juvenile filly event; Tellmenow and Now Mandy. Askmenow 42 Juvenile Filly Champion Askmenow, largely by virtue of her victory in the Selima Stakes, became the juvenile filly champion last year. She also finished second to Occupation in the Belmont Futurity, in which Count Fleet finished third. For Calumet Farm, trainer Ben Jones entered two for the Princess Doreen — the sensational Nellie L., daughter of Blenheim II.— Nellie Flag and full sister of Mar-Kell; and Flaming Chance, a Chance Play filly. Nellie L., was running in claiming races early this year. She has since won the Kentucky Oaks and Acorn Stakes.
