IDLE JANE, never far back, came over sharply to take command after three furlongs, held a clear lead when shaken up for the stretch run and, under brisk urging, held HOWDY U ALL safe. The latter flashed good speed from the beginning, was n°.„l5 .taJ5 up X"tn imPeded °y the winner, then came again when clear and closed with good courage. PSYCHIC LAD could not get to the leaders when hard ridden through the stretch, but was easily best of the others. DOUBLE BARREL tired when set down for the final drive. OATBURNER, off alertly, encountered slight interference on the far turn and failed to recover. MISS JANE B was outrun, as was LYNN Z. SPIKED was never a threat. CALM BAY showed nothing. KATES CHANCE was through early. DIXIE MAE showed nothing. DICKS GAL outsprinted the field from the beginning, held a clear lead entering the stretch and, in a long drive, held LAMBENT safe. The latter came out for the drive and, under severe punishment, was steadily wearing down the winner. CONCRETE was sent to the inside for the final test but, under urging, could not better his position. CHALL AMAZE lacked speed. MON SPEED tired. FAVONIAN reared at the start and lost all - chance. FANCY FOOD was hustled to the front immediately after the start to open a commanding advantage early, tired badly during the final sixteenth, but under punishment had enough left to prevail over BLUE FOX. The latter, began sluggishly, was rushed into contention before going a quarter mile, came out for the drive and was gradually getting to the winner. REBEL RAIDER, outran early, slipped through on the inside nearing the furlong marker and closed with good courage. POLTROON showed good speed from the beginning, then tired as a result of his efforts. FLYING RULES rallied too late to seriously menace. BIRD BRAIN came between horses for the drive, but was not good enough. DOGS UP had no mishap. DOCTOR L. E. was always far back. BAY ACRE, outrun early, moved up fast after the first half mile responded to a brisk urging through the stretch and wore, down -BOLD MATE in the last strides. The latter, never far back, went to the front approaching the stretch, continued willingly under punishment but could not withstand the winner. DON OSULLIVAN crowded the field immediately after the break, raced well to the stretch, then faltered. SUN UMBER, bothered after the start, never was dangerous. FLARE MONTE could not keep up when set down in the drive. SUNAWAY was far back throughout. MISS GOLIGHTLY failed to stay after showing early speed.
