EASTERN CHANT was" steered to the inside as the leaders went wide at the far turn, quickly established a clear lead and maintained the advantage under steady handling. INGRATE lost command bearing out at the far turn and raced well thereafter. NIJORCA broke poorly and was taken up, saved ground entering contention and tired from her early efforts. KAY PHALANX raced greenly. MASEAMANOR had a rough trip. AHMIC LAKE bore out and was taken in hand at the- far turn. APPIA forced the pace under light urging, wrested command inside the last furlong and held on well. LITTLE DONOTS saved all possible ground rallying from the final turn and finished well.. QUEENS FLIGHT, fractious and unseating her rider in the post parade, was rated off the early pace, bumped with MOSSCENT inside the last 70 yards and broke stride bouncing off but quickly came again to gain the decision. MOSSCENT was steadily urged appeared to suffer little when bumping with the winner and just missed. PEN HALLOW saved ground making a bold bid under urging after five furlongs but tired. JOE NIGHT had no excuse. RIVER OF GOLD REARED • AVER BACKWARD IN THE GATE AND MOMENTARILY STUNNED HER RIDER. SHE WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN AND ALL WAGERS ON HER WERE REFUNDED.
