Walmac Pair Seeking Ardan Shore " — - -A* ♦ * i ♦ : = a. - a. - [Hasseyampa Goes With The Warrior Our Holiday, Ratheram and Ja Ja Face Favored Entry In ,000 Arlington Event By Staff Correspondent ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 24. — A pair of ,000 events, with the Chicago Ardan Shore Purse occupying the featured sixth-race spot, headline Arlingtons eight-race program Tuesday. Walmac Farms entry of The Warrior and Hasseyampa top the field, which also includes Alamode Farms Ja Ja, Bernard W. Landys Two Fisted, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Fischbachs Frosty Mr., Mrs. Frances A. Genters Our Holiday, and Mrs. Harvey C. Fruehaufs Ratheram. The distance is one mile. Co-featured Tuesday is the Mameluke Purse, five and one-half furlongs grass sprint for three-year-olds and upward going as the nightcap. Twelve were named, including Rothmore* Farms Munchausen, who disappointed as the favorite in Saturdays Myrtlewood, Hasty House Farms King Bruce H., and the Reverie Knoll Farm entry of Leather Kid and Royal Sting. Others are Walmac Farms Vagabond King, Valley View Farms Warbler, Audley Farms Craigwood, B. W. Landys Smokelore, Moss and Nolans Foxy Moss, Shawnee Farms Bornastar, R. B. Stock-ers Flying Lyric, and Mrs. A. M. Creechs Hoop Ring. The Warriors Company Tops The presence of The Warrior in the Ar- . dan S,hore probably will make the Walmac Farm entry the favorite. The Wairior has won only one race in five starts this year, but has been competing in only the best company. He comes off a rather disappointing seventh place finish in the Balmoral Turf Handicap, prior to which he was a close-up fourth in the Continental Tuif Handicap. Hasseyampa is wihless this campaign and was beaten off in. a grass race here last week won by Blue Volt. It was his first outing since being a good third behind Dogooh and Besomer at seven furlongs at Balmoral. Our Holiday closed resolutely here last week to .finish second to Vagabond King at six furlongs, the seventh attempt this campaign for the colt and his second straight second. Earlier, he was unplaced in the one -mile Citation won by Swoons Son, prior to which he had a* pair of seven-furlong Balmoral victories. Ja Ja makes his Arlington bow Tuesday. He is after his first win this year. His most recent effort was a third behind Kopes Hope and Our Holiday two weeks ago at Balmoral. Earlier he was a fourth at seven furlongs there behind Dogoon and Besomex*. Ratheram loomed boldly in a one and one-sixteenth miles grass"* test here last week, only to finish fourth behind Blue Volt and Innishowen. It was his seventh start of a winless campaign and his best race since finishing second to Bernburgoo two months ago at Churchill Downs. Frosty Mr. has not won in four starts this year. In the Mameluke, King Bruce n. and Hoop Ring both come off grass sprint victories here While Vagabond King last week won impressively at six furlongs on the dirt. It was Vagabond Kings second straight win. Munchausen was fourth and last in Saturdays Myrtlewood. One of his eight wins this year was a front-running grass victory at Balmoral. Craigwood makes his first start since dropping a nose decision to Munchausen here last week.
