DRAYTONS SAL was in front after six furlongs and held sway thereafter under pressure. QUITE FANCY was always formidable but lacked the needed rally. BILLIES BEAM took the overland route while moving from far back. IERNE, a trailer for a mile, closed full of run. COLD NIGHT failed to rally. COMMARIA loomed a threat on the turn and weakened. BERNICE W. retired early. Attendance, 10,276; Total Mutuel Pool, 53,430.
