1 Ak-Sar-Ben Registers Increases; Up Minimum Purses to ,000 AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 24. — The Ak-Sar-Ben pari-mutuel handle is showing a 6.49 per cent increase while the daily attendance is up 5.1 per cent. The daily average this year is 88,681 as compared to 58,891 in the first 25 days of 1956. The management of Ak-Sar-Ben announced this morning that the purses fqr the final two weeks of racing will be raised to a ,000 minimum. There wili also be increases made ,on some of the better races carded at the Omaha oval, bringing the total purse distribution over the 00,000 mark that was advertised for the 35-day meeting.
