Edict was waited with to the head of the stretcli and then came away without much effort, but broke down twenty yards from the finish and swerved badly, bumping into Nuns Veiling and causing her to fall. Edict finished with his rider hanging to ids neck, but was disqualified. Bubaiyat set the pace fast from the -start and hung on gamely in the drive through the stretch. Away trailed in the early stages, but n-.oved up on the turn and came fast through the stretch. Olive Leaf finished well.
