HOWLAND A PRESENT TO BREEDING BUREAU. New York, July 20. Steward II. K. Knapp. of the Jockey Club, owner of the Oneck Stable, has bought the stallion Howland. and has presented the horse to the Bureau of Breeding. The purchase was made by wire and the horse will at once be shipped from Kentucky to New York. Howland Is considered one of the most desirable acquisitions. He Is by Hindoo Ricochet, foaled in 1S03, and was a good two-year-old performer.
