Single Shot, lucky from the start, was always In forward contention and, after being passed on the last turn by Nemesis, gamely came again and wore her down in a hard drive. Nemesis got away iioorly and closed a big early ga, then gradually gained on the leaders around the last turn, suddenly shot to the front, but was forced to succumb right at the end. Moonshine had a striding start, but failed to take advantage of it and was shuttled repeatedly to the rear and finished with a lielated end rush. Dopna held her own well for seven furlongs. Fatinilza set the pace for nearly seven, furlongs before she retired and" put up a good effort. NIcetas, away poorly, made up a lot of ground. Idle Dream displayed superior early speed. Bobbie Kean ran unexpectedly well up throughout and as unexpectedly failed to stay. Throw his nice out. Com Blossom ran sluggishly under inadequate Handling, lint finished witli a belated rush and probably was not quite, keyed up. Sailor Boy was outclassed here and likes soft going, anvway. Samson after trailing hopelessly in the rear, made up a lot of ground when too late. Garnish, sore and unlit to start i was shut off early, but lacked ordinary speed. . Gold Lady, nearly left, closed an immense gap and ran a cracking race. Princess Carrie also suffered at the start and made up a lot of ground. Allerion showed superior early speed for a half mile Puritan Girl broke and ran green, but was gaining at the end and can do infinitely better The same applies to Fads and Fancies. Manila quit early. Tyron made the running always on sufferance and, after readily giving way to the winners, challenges on the last turn, came on gamely and earned second place. Embarrassment maintained a good position throughout, coming on, however, witli a much belated end rush under a ioor ride. Little Scout was very stiff, but showed Improvement, was outpaced for the first mile, but finished fast and would have been second with fifty yards further to go. Champlaiu was pulling his rider out of the saddle for nearly seven furlongs and ran a good race. Leila ran a bad race. Woodsman Is evidently very moderate.
