DONNACONA AND ON WATCH WATCHMax Max Hirsch has gone to Palm Beach after spending several weeks in Kentucky looking over the twoyearolds He bought several promising youngsters from John E Madden and in a visit to Christian County he was much impressed by the quality of the two yearolds he saw there Mr Hirschs old favorite Donnacona one of the Derby fa ¬ vorites in 1920 is in the stud near Hopkins ville at the farm of J H White His wean ¬ lings are most promising and Christian Country turfmen have sent fortythree mares to his court On Watch Donnaconas stable companion which ran third in the Kentucky Derby also trained by Mr Hirsch has been placed in the stud at Crystal Springs Farm near Lexington He was one of the best of the handicap division and as he is royally bred ought to make good in the stud
