Brian to Belmont Park. - "Walter Burke, who has been running the ticket room, departed for Baltimore. J. W. Healey, Jr., turned H. P. Whitneys "Wavecrest over to T. J. Donahue for an Ottawa campaign. R. Punshon was suspended for the final day of the meeting and fined 5 for rough riding yesterday. H. Morrissey went to Saratoga Saturday night to solicit horses for the autumn meeting of the Connaught Park Jockey Club. Joe Rowan will take Peter Piper to Windsor and pick up Frosty Boy, while the remainder of the F. Swenke horses are resting up at Ottawa. Marie Maxim and Miss Domino, intended starters in the second race, were found roaming at large this morning. It is thought that they were loose all night. Shuan Gilmartin, supervisor of the mutuel department, left for New York to visit his mother, after which he will return to his home in Baltimore. He will be back in action at Havre de Grace. H. ONeill left Saturday night for Havre de Grace to school jumpers for G. W. Foreman. D. S. Gillies received word that George Forbes will replace Sam Parmer as paddock judge at the Windsor Jockey Club meeting. Otherwise the officials will be the same as at the first meeting. After a long illness F. Stevens reported to J. W. nealcy, his contract employer, and will go with the A. C. Bostwick stable to Belmont Park. Scobie and Randall, who have been riding for Bostwick, left for Saratoga, They will rejoin the stable at Belmont Park. W. P. Fraser returned to Toronto to begin work on the compilation of the entries to the stakes for the autumn meeting of the Toronto Jockey Club. These stakes close on August 25 and provide for the distribution of a. large part of the 21,000 that will be offered at the seven-day meeting from September 24 to October 1. Condition books for the meeting were distributed here today.
