PAYS 5,500 FOR YEARLING Greentree Stable Pays Highest Price for Yearling by The Finn. Fifty Seven Himyar Stud Yearlings Bring Total of 18,200 Average of ,C17. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 15. The thoroughbred yearlings from the Him-yard Stud which were put up at auction Friday evening under the auspices of the Fasig-Tipton Company brought spirited bidding, and of the fifty-seven that were disposed of the Greentree Stable of Mrs. Payne AVhitney paid the largest price of the evening for a bay or brown colt by The Finn Hurakan, by Uncle. Bidding was brisk on these youngsters and at different times Marshall Field III., and Harry F. Sinclair appeared to be the buyer until the final bid of Mrs. AVhitney. W. H. Karrick, presumably acting for W. R. Coe, was a liberal purchaser and took down the second highest price of the evening, a chestnut colt by The Finn Perplexing by Cicero.
