Start, poor and slow. Won handily; second and third driving. BANTER, away well, set a fast pace all the way, but was tiring at the finish. SKYSCRAPER followed the winner closely and made a challenge on the stretch turn, but also tired and just lasted to save second place. DREAM MAKER came with a rush on the outside at the finish. NOEL closed a gap and ran a good race. SCOOP showed early speed, but tired badly. DONNELLY ran well. TOP SERGEANT, REJECTION, COSTIGAN and MAXIE had scant chance at the start. Won easily; second and third driving. EL KANTARA blundered badly at the third jump, but set a fast -pace and, withstanding a challenge from AUTUMN BELLS, drew away to win in a canter. HOUDINI jumped well, was a forward contender from the start and outstayed the tiring AUTUMN BELLS through the final quarter. AUTUMN BELLS moved up gamely and forced the pace, but tired badly. MINATA was always outrun. CARABINIER stumbled at several of the jumps. 8Ait THIRD RACE 3-4 Mile. BLUE WARBLER forced a fast pace and, coming outside of LIGHTSHIP on the stretch turn, finished fast and gamely and won drawing clear. MAIBIRD, away well, came with a rush through the final eighth and out finished LIGHTSHIP in the final strides. LIGHTSHIP set a fast pace nearly all the way, but tired in the final sixteenth. MOTHER GOOSE closed a gap and finished fast. ROYALITB ran well and saved ground on all the turns. SWINGING was very fractions at the post. MAID AT ARMS could never get up. SUN FLAG forced the pace to the far turn and, passing LUCKY PLAY there, took the lead and drew away after entering the stretch and won in a canter. AGA KHAN was under restraint in the early running and gained steadily when called on, but tired near the end and just lasted to save second place. MR. MUTT bgan slowly, but closed an immense gap and finished with a rush. SPIC AND SPAN ran well, but tired near the end. KLONDYKE moved up while rounding the far turn, but quit iu the stretch drive. BOB TAIL tired after going well for a mile. LUCKY PLAY set a fast early pace, but ran wide on all the turns and quit. THORNDALE was always outrun. WOODLAKE was away well and set a fast early pace, then finished gamely for second place. SYLVAN SPRING, practically left, closed an immense gap and finished next to the inner rail. TUXEDO raced well. OLYNTHUS was away well, but at once dropped back. CEYLON PRINCE and ROMANY had no chance at the start. IDIOSYNCRASY worked her way up on the inside and, coming with a rush in the stretch, was cut off at the eighth post and had to come on the outside, but was going away at the end. FAIR VISION was a forward contender from the start and, passing FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE into the lead, made a game finish for second place. The latter showed high speed in early paccmaking, but tired at the end. TEAPOT finished fast on the outside after overcoming early interference. PLEASANT MEMORIES ran well. BARGAIN DAY was in a pocket all the way. GOLD BRICK finished close up.
