I HAMILTON TURF NOTES f 8 3 HAMILTON, Ont, June 28. Joseph E. Martin, general manager of the Niagara Racing Association, and his assistant, Pete Holmes, were on the premises of the Hamilton Jockey Club course today to interest horsemen in the forthcoming meeting at Fort Erie. Books for the meeting were distributed among the horsemen and a ready response was manifested. Applications for stabling room were received by Stanley Gillespie, and he reports that the best racers in this vicinity have been listed to compete at the border course. C. Smithson and James Arthur were arrivals from Toronto with their large strings, while numerous other owners shiped from the same city following the closing of racing at Dufferln Park on Saturday. Jockey C. McCrosson departs for Windsor where he will ride for Mose Shapoff. Dr. Webster, an arrival from Ottawa, will remain for the remainder of the meeting.
