SUNCREST sprinted into a good early lead at onco, saved ground where possible and won easing up. AUTO DA FE was taken up at the start and was not hurried in the early running, then moved up rapidly after rounding the far turn and finished gamely. Won easily; second and third driving. MARK MASTER raced into an easy lead after entering the home stretch and won going away. SPnEItlCITY, away fast, raced close up from the start and made a game finish. STURGIS met with considerable interference and could not find racing room until in the last cigntb, then came fast. BWEPT worked his way up steadily, but quit badly in the last quarter. Those in the rear were being pulled up repeatedly. DERONDA, practically left, was hard ridden to make up his lost ground and, coming with a rush through the last quarter, got up to win in the final few strides. CATESBY raced into the lead after entering the home stretch, but could not withstand the winners rush. ROYAL PEARL, always close up, raced SILENT KING into defeat, but tired in the final drive. KNOCKANY followed in close pursuit of the pacemaker from the start, saved ground when the leader swerved out on the stretch turn and, finishing fast, took the lead and held AVERSION safe. The latter, on the outside in the early racing, finished resolutely through the last quarter. ARNO made a rush when rounding the last turn and came through next to the inner rail in the stretch, but tired in the final drive. WHIZZING CLOUD showed the most speed to the stretch, but ran out badly on the stretch turn and tired. FLAIIEBTY raced well and so did NORTH BREEZE. ACE OF ACES II. quit. PITCHFORK began slowly. The. latter lacked early speed, but closed a gap and finished fast. GOLDEN RULE was crowded on the turn into the back stretch, but came on gamely and was going fast at the end.
