Edward Arlington, whose Scat made good in the last race Saturday, has had a considerable addition to his New York string with the return of Frank Byer, one of his trainers, who has completed a successful invasion of Canada. Byer returned from Blue Bonnets with jockey E. OBrien and the horses Accokeek, Blue Kldse, Blether," Mo-hamed Jamal, Hesper, Bedford Dream, Blue Mont and Queen Navarre, winner of three straight races during the recent campaign. . Roy "Waldron, who compaigned a division of the Greentree Stable with success in Maryland, left for "Windsor, Ont., with ten horses from that establishment which will be raced at the border tracks. G. Arnold accompanied the stable as contract rider. Bill Smith, baseball magnate and former trainer for his brother, "Pittsburgh Phil," was a clubhouse visitor of the day. J. McNally purchased, at private terms, from the Laurel Park Stud the two-year-old Lass OGawrie. J. Simon Healy returned from Montreal. He raced Accomplish, Hobcaw and The Code at the Canadian meeting.
