TURKEYS NECK, close up from the start, responded when called on and raced into a good lead, but was kept under hard riding to the end. STAR ROCKET was on the inside when passing the elbow and- ran a good race. FLITTING DAY came with a rush on the outside and finished fast. CHARM raced close up throughout. PHILIPS FIRST met with early interference. SLEEPY TIME ran well. BOKHARA quit. LOVEKEN was bumped about at the start. Won handily; second and third driving. BARLEYCORN, under restraint for the first turn of the field, raced into the lead when called on and swerved in front of HUSKY repeatedly, but won going away. HUSKY followed the early leaders under rcclraint and would have been closer up but for the interference, then pulled up lame. FOUR COURTS showed the most speed for. the first turn of the field and raced ST. LAWRENCE into defeat but tired at the erd. ST. LAWRENCE ran a fairly good race. DRUMMER BOY II. was very unruly in the running. OYSTER BED was always outrun. SAMMY JAY pulled up lame. IRISH EXCELLENCE was pulled ur after taking the eighth jump. -g AO THIRD RACE 1 1-16 Miles. Won easily; second and third driving. OUR GENERAL followed WASHAKIE to the stretch, then moved up with a rnsh and, passing the latter, drew away through the final eighth to win easing up. WASHAKIE showed the most speed from the start and raced REPORTER into defeat, but tired at the end. ROYAL PLAY, under restraint nntil in the stretch, swerved under hard riding, but came again at the end. REPORTER had no mishaps. SAORSTAT was outrun throughout. Scratched 14583 Laddie, 100. FRILETTE moved up with a rush on the outside while rounding the last turn and lost some ground, then swerved at the eighth post, but came- again at the end. CANDY MAY showed the most speed from the start and saved ground where possible, but was tiring at the end. MAID O" THE MIST raced gamely throughout. BONNIE KHAYYAM was outrun from the start. The latter moved up with a rush when called on and passed MARTnA MARTIN, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. FKNLIGHT improved her position gamely and finished fast. AVISACK II. ran well. MARTHA MARTIN set a good pace, but quit. LITTLE DAVE ran out when entering the stretch.
