Won driving: second and third the same. HOLLY BOY showed the most speed while being hard ridden to the stretch, then was headed briefly by JAUNEBAR when an eighth away, but came again and outfinished the latter in a hard drive. JAUNEBAR raced forwardly throughout and took the lead in the stretch briefly, but could i.ot hold it. LURE OF GOLD worked her way up gradually and, finishing close up, ran a good race. IjONNY CASTLE saved ground on the turns and raced well to the end. BOOTSIE raced fairly well and linished gamely. ISABELL had to race wide all the way. LOYAL II. also raced close up from the start, but tired in the last eighth. FORE LADY ran a good race and outfinished FLAMES. FLAMES closed a big gap. MULLIGAN raced well to the end. FALLEN LEAF quit after setting the pace to the last turn. Won driving; second and third the same. MAC MAXIM, suddenly and Tastly improved, showed the most speed and saved ground on all the turns, but barely lasted to outfinish BILL SKTII. The latter, close up all the way and forcing a fast pace, was wearing the winner down fast in the last eighth. LADY WELCOME was badly outpaced to the 6tretch, then came on the outside and, closing n gap in a flash, finished close up. GRETA showed speed and was generally close up, but could not reach the leaders under an inexperienced rider. SHASTA .POPE showed speed before tiring. . f er- DO FIFTH RACE 3-4 Mile. BELPRE raced closer tip than usual in the early running and, coming fast in the final eighth, got up to outgame LOUISVILLE AND NASHVILLE. The latter raced prominently all the way and had no mishaps. REIJECK began tiring in the final drive. STARS AND STRIPES raced well, but lacked racing room from near the end. LUCENT quit. OPEN FIRE bolted to the outside in the stretch.
