SUN SABEUR raced past AMBITIOUS with a rush iu the last eighth, but had to be ridden hard right at the end to outfinish CROSS PLAY. The latter began slowly and was ridden wide on the turns, but came gamely when ridden hard and finished much faster than the winner. AMBITIOUS showed the most early speed, but began tiring in the last eighth. DREANA LEE was restrained for half a mile and saved much ground on the turns, but failed in the last eighth. BESOM was ridden wide into the stretch after being allowed to drop back. BILLY McCARNEY was shuffled back in the first quarter and came fast near the end. DUTCH GIRL showed the most speed for nearly the entire race, but gave way right at the end. FORELAND ran a good race and finished well. OLYMPIC raced close up for the entire race. FINLAND was taken back soon after the start and raced wide on the turns. RUBEN tired badly. BIG SWEEP raced into the lead when called on and made the pace fast, but tired in the last sixteeth and barely lasted to win under good riding. BANTER, ridden wide and losing much ground on the turns, came fast when ridden hard and would have won in another stride. PRINCESS PAN raced well, but began tiring in the last eighth. The latter raced closest up from thestart and finished gamely when ridden hard in the last eighth. MISS FIRE came rapidly through the stretch and was going fast at the end. AMERICAN TnUNDER began fast and showed fine speed in pacemak-ing. but tired badly in the last sixteenth. BRUMFIELD came fast after getting out of close quarters and would have been second in another stride. POST DISPATCH had no mishaps. BOSH .ran a bad rare. .
