LATONIA TURF NOTES j s 4 LATONIA, Ky., June 28. Helens Babe, Almadel and Soiree, the property of H. P. Headley, and Red Leather and Manuelita, owned by J. S. Wallace, arrived from Fairmount Park Monday. Almadel, which was cut down in a race at the Collinsville track, will be turned out, and Helens Babe is an intended starter in the Independence Handicap next Monday. C. H. Trotter last night loaded fourteen horses for shipment to Windsor. Rolled Stocking, which came out of the Latonia Derby in normal condition, has developed a slight fever, according to trainer C. C. Van Meter. The Coventry Stables Cotlogomor was returned from Fairmount Park, where he participated in the Statler Hotel Handicap last Saturday. L. A. Connor will ship his small stable to Windsor at the conclusion of the Latonia meeting. Harry Bensinger of Louisville has purchased a half interest in the horses Watchful, Sandhurst and Edith Gray, which A. V. Thomas bought at auction in the Latonia Paddock last Saturday. The condition of Rolled Stocking, which developed a high fever Sunday, was greatly improved Tuesday, and trainer C. C. "Van Meter expresses the belief that the colt will soon be back to normal physical condition. Trainer John Walters of the Geo. M. Hen-drie stable was able to be at the track this morning for the first time since receiving multiple injuries when run down by a horse on the Latonia back stretch a week ago. Walters intends shipping his string to Windsor at the termination of the Latonia meeting. A. V. Thomas has arranged to transfer eight of his horses to the Raceland track following the close of the Latonia season. Coughlin Lotte, a member of the J. W. Par-rish stable, was sent by van to her owners farm near Midway, Ky., to be turned out until the fall season. Dr. J. H. ODonnell has applied the firing irons to J. E. Griffiths two-year-old Lope, a half-sister to Canter. Nairbe is the latest addition to starter Hamiltons schooling list. Jimmy McGee increased his stable by one through the purchase, for ,000, of the two-year-old filly Jessica from the Audlcy Farm Stable. Tho H. Massey-E. C. Anthony establishment departed for Windsor. Jockey A, Hen derson went along to do tho riding.
