WASHINGTON PARK NOTES 4 and HOMEWOOD, 111., June 28. Thursday, June 30, will be "Chicago Furniture Mart Day" at Washington Parle, and it is expected that at least two thousand furniture buyers, now in convention here from various parts of the United States, will witness the racing. The feature race on Thursday will be named "Chicago Furniture Mart Purse." Strite and Valentine will ship their horses to Windsor, Ont., Thursday night. Jockey A. Pendergrass, under contract to the stable, will also go along. H. C. McConnell is another who will race on the Canadian tracks this summer. Albert Wilson rode his first race today, on Go Away, since he met with an accident at Latonia in the fall of 1923. The rider was under contract to E. It. Bradley at the time of the accident. He is now back in the employ of C. II. Knebelkamp, who brought him to the races and sold his contract to the Idle Hour Stock Farm Stable. He can ride at 112 pounds. Daniel E. OSullivan, who will assist in the management at Lincoln Fields, was an arrival this morning and began activities incident to the opening of the beautiful Crete course.
