PRINCE PAT began closing up fast when approaching the stretch and. coming fast through the stretch, outfinished CAPTAIN J. S. The latter began fast and saved ground while showing the most speed, then raced gamely in the final drive. LONDON ROCK raced forwardly after going the first quarter and finished gamely. BOWLER ran poorly to the stretch, where he came fast. EUONYMOUS ran a fairly good race. AMYYAI.E showed speed from the start, but bolted badly on the stretch turn. WAR TIME was shuffled back soon after the start. CHRISTIE FLANAGAN was forced out by AMYVALE and was eased up in the last eighth. GRAND KINO raced clo.se up from the start and passed GEO. GROOM with a rush after entering the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. ;EO. GROOM set a good pace and tired after holding the lead gamely to the final eighth. COUNSELLOR. CONNOLLY had no mishaps. VACI1ELL raced wide in the final half. KUBLAI KUAN was taken back repeatedly. TUlNDER CALL raced closest up from the start and swerved in badly while racing •well through the final three-sixteenths. FI.OR1NASSA appeared to he sore, hut raced into third place swiftly from the extreme outside and finished gamely after losing ground when entering the stretch. COlKIER ran fairly well. WILL TURNS began in close quarters and could not get out. BADGER FACE ran poorly and so did MISS PINK. MISSTEP had an advantage at the start and set u great pace briefly, then after being headed, raced und:r restraint in close pursuit of LAWLEY and outfinished him through the last sixteenth when ridden hard. LAWLEY, also away well, showed fine speed and raced into the lead, but tired slightly in the final strides. DODGSON was away slowly and had to race wide on the turns and barely managed to outfinish BLACKWOOD for third place. BLACKWOOD raced forwardly, but suffered from some interference and tired near the end. DOWAGAIC suffered from frequent interference in the early running • ml lacked racing room for the greater part of the race. REUJH OLGA saved ground on tlie turns while racing .lose up from the start and finished resolutely. CHAMP DE MARS raced well. OREGON FIR was in close quarters through much of the race. POLICEMAN DAY. reserved behind the early pace, raced into the lead with a rush after running three-quarters, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. HOMEWOOD was much used in racing MIMI into submission and tired badly in the stretch. FLAG LIEUTENANT finished fast. POST HORN had no mis.jap. MIMI was raced into exhaustion forcing the early pace and was eased up when beaten.
