The latter began moving up rapidly on the last turn and benefited when she crowded CRCSS PLAT back, but could not get to the winner. CROSS PLAY raced In closest pursuit from the start and was racing gamely when she met interference from CLOVER CIA B la the last eighth. FRANK IIORAN was hard ridden to keep fairly close up to the stretch, then came fast and, passing the leaders on the outside into the lead, drew away in the final fifty vaids. ROUND DP, close np from the start, passed MAIDENS CHOICE in the final eighth, but could not withstand the winner. MAIDENS CHOICE began well and set a fast pace, but began tiring under his heavy impost after going a hal? mile. WELL TURNED had no mishaps. CLASSY, close up from the start, was eased up when in close quarters in the stretch. BOBBY BASIL was taken back on the last turn. WOOLORAO began slowly and lacked speed. Scratched— 24958 Courier.
