LATONTA, Ky., May 29.— With 142 nomi-■atlona, including the greatest three-year-olds in the country, the .", 000 added Latonia Derby, which will be vun on Saturday, Juno 23, promises to settle beyond Question the championship of the three-year-old division. This race, at a mile and a half, removes racing luck from the equation and the winner is always a thoroughbred of indisputable stamina and high quality. Victorian, Nssssk and a few other eastern stars failed to come out for the Id n-tucky Derby, and few of the western leaders will take part in the Belmont Stakes, but all are expected to meet in the Latonia Derby as a final battleground of the spring and summer meetings.
