OPENING STAKE FEATURE Weights Announced for American National Premier Handicap at Arlington Park. Weights for the American National Premier Handicap, the feature offering opening day, next Monday, at Arlington Park, have just been made public by racing secretary William Dondas. According to the weight assignment, Chicago, star of the Chicago handicap division last year, and Jock, winner of the Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs, are asked to shoulder top impost of 126 pounds. Stuyvesant Peabodys Flat Iron, a popular racer on the local tracks last year, comes next in the estimation of the official handi-cappers, and is assigned 124 pounds. H. P. Headleys Mike Hall, which displayed splendid form in annexing the Dixie Handicap in Maryland this spring, will pick up 118 pounds if he starts in the Arlington Park feature. A number of the three-year-old ehgibles are highly rated. Misstep, which finished second in the Kentucky Derby, is assigned 116 pounds, while Nassak and Mowlee, the Rancocas pair, are assigned, respectively, 115 and 114 pounds. Toro, the E. B. McLean colt that finished third in the Kentucky Derby, is asked to carry 111 pounds. Owing to a slight injury the colt will hardly be ready to start in the race. In addition to Misstep, quite a number of prospective starters in the American Derby, to be decided June 9, are included in the list of weights, and they get in comparatively light. Among the more prominent ones, with their weights, are : Bobasheia, 103 ; Blackwood, 104 ; Colonel Shaw, 106 ; Dowagiac, 104 ; Jack Higgins, 108 ; Rurik, 100 ; Reigh Olga. 107 ; Sun Beau, 108, and Typhoon, 106 pounds.
