GADSDEN BRYAN MEMORIAL Bowies Big Fall Fixture Increased in Value From 5,000 to 0,000 Added. BALTIMORE, Md., May 29.— .With the possible exception of the hlaryland Jockey Clubs Futurity at Pimlico, a dash of one mile, for two-year-olds, that carries an added money value of 0,000, the Gadsden Bryan Memorial. Bowies great dash of one mile and a sixteenth, for horses of all ags, will be the most richly endowed special revived in Maryland next fall. James F. OHara has announced that the added money will be 0,000, an advance of ,000. the starting fee ,000, and the nomination fee 00. Generally the Bryan Memorial attracts from sixty to seventy nominations. In last falls renewal, which Frank Browns Cloud-land won. there were ten starters, but Glister beat fourteen the year before and Sarazen fourteen the year before that. So, in a year like Cloudlands, the Bryan Memorial, as revised for next fall, should have a gross value of 7,C00 and pay its winner 0,000 or more, and in one like Glisters or Sara-zens it should gross 1,000 or better and pay its winner close to 5,000. OHara hasnt said what he is going to do with the Prince Georges, Fall, Thanksgiving and Endurance handicaps, which, generally, are 0,000 added money races, the first at one mile and an eighth, for three-year-olds ; the second at one mile and three-sixteenths, for three-year-olds and over, and the third at one mile and seventy yards, for two-year-olds, but very likely, they wiil be boosted, too. Bowie now has one of the finest racing plants in the East and, after Iimlico, is getting the heaviest play. OHara has never been a man to permit his luck to outrun his enterprise.
