NEW YORK TURF NOTES ยป 1 C. H. Pettingill. according to latest reports, is dangerously ill at his home and little hope is held out for his recovery. Marty Kittleman, the veteran race follower who has been ill for so many months, has asked Daily Racing Form to express his grateful thanks to all who contributed to his relief recently. S. C. Hildreth announced today that he was forced to let up on the three-year-old Nassak and that he would not be a starter in the Belmont Stakes Saturday.
