CHINN BUYS DRAKE FARM Purchases One Hundred Thirty-Six Acres on the Iron Works Pike. LEXINGTON, Ky., May 23.— Col. Phil T. Chinn has closed a deal with E. Gay Drake for his farm of 136 acres on the Iron Works pike, adjoining Elmendorf part of which is owned by George D. Widener and part by Joseph E. Widener, Donegal Farm owned by the estate of the late Senator Joseph W. Bailey, and Dixiana, now the property of Charles T. Fisher. Possession is to be given August 1, prior to which time the thoroughbred horses owned by Mr. Drake and comprising his Mineoloa Stud, will be transferred to another farm. Colonel Chinn stated that he had made the purchase for himself, since the lease he holds on Hinata Farm is expiring and is not to be renewed. He also has leased from Harry Morrissey, the starter, the Kempland Farm, on Walnut Hills Pike, as a means to make up the acreage he is giving up at Hinata. There now is under Colonel Chinns direction some 3,000 acres of land devoted to the production of thoroughbred horses. . A
