AT POST— 3 minutes. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. CEYLON PRINCE raced foiwardly all the way, moved into command in the final eighth and drew away. FLYING SWEEP overcame early interference and finished with a rush. GOLFLEX followed the early pace under restraint and tired after assuming the lead. EUPHRATES worked his J vay up on the inside and finished fast. STAGE STRUCK showed a good effort. BLABBER stopped , under pressure. MINT GRASS and TURF KING raced each other into defeat. DARKNESS was restrained for the first turn of the field, then moved into the lead with a rush, lumped well thereafter and had speed in reserve at the end. NOMAD, under steady restraint until called upon, made a determined bid after taking the ninth fence, but tired at the end. BEELZEBUB, well up at the first turn of the field, was taken back when DARKNESS rushed into command and could not get to the leaders thereafter. SOULECTOR raced well for the first turn of the field. HILLOCK showed early speed, but was pulled up when he tired badly at the tenth fence. OCOQK THIRD RACE — 4 1-2 Furlongs Widener Course. GONE AWAY was in close quarters at the finish. WATER FOUL bore over sharply after the start and caused a jam. LAMP BLACK quit badly. GAY PAST showed a flash of early speed. AT POST — 3 minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. HOT TODDY moved close to the pace when rounding the far turn, drew away into a safe lead in the final eighth and outlasted MARINE in the final drive. The latter, rated along steadily, came to the outside when entering the stretch and came with a rush. VALOROUS was shuffled back at the far turn, saved much ground thereafter and finished strong on the inner rail. SEPOY, badly outrun la the early racing, finished with a belated rush. CHATTORD slipped through on the inside when turning for home and faltered when put to a drive. SUBLEVADO showed good early speed. VERDI quit badly. LONGWORTH was outrun.
