ELECTRIFIED TRAIN SERVICE Turf writers were afforded Thursday afternoon a pre-view of the newly-transformed Washington Park Jockey Club plant As guests of the club and under personal escort of President M. J. Winn, general manager C. W. Hay and C. W. Bidwill, secretary of the Illinois Turf Association, the party journeyed from Randolph street on a special of the Illinois Central railroad. It was the first trip on the electrified train, such as will be utilized to handle crowds of racing patrons during the thirty-day meeting, which will begin next Monday at Homewood course. The trip, occupying twenty-seven minutes, was one of many surprises. Those recalling how Washington Park was reached in other years said the contrast matched the difference In the old and new Washington Park.
