RANCOCAS STABLE LEADER Tops Winning Owners During Recent SuccessfulJamaica Meeting. ♦ Form Well Observed. Total of 66 Favorites Scoring for a Percentage of .51— Complete Statistics. ■ Thr.ough the handicap successes of Mei Foo and Mowiee and the number of victories scored by two-year-olds in their first starts, the Rancocas Stable led the winning owners during the Jamaica meeting, though by a comparatively small margin over the stable of W. R. Coe. Each establishment accounted for eleven races and each was "in the money" fifteen times in addition to the victories scored. The Coe conquests were not quite so valuable, on the whole. Rancocas got off flying by winning the Paumonok Handicap with Mei Foo, this race being worth ,650, and Mow-lee won the Excelsior Handicap, one of the closing stakes, which was worth ,200. This meeting was remarkably formful, a total of 66 favorites winning their races for a percentage of .51. The percentage of outsiders that won was only .31. Four of the two-year-old winners that trainer Hildreth saddled for the Rancocas Stable won their initial starts. These were Greyola, a filly ; Mokatam, Grey Watch and Grattan. Another remarkable success of a first-time starter was that of T. M. Cas-sidys Crack Brigade, which won the Colorado Stakes, the value of which was ,650. Sweep Out was W. R. Coes biggest winner, with five to his credit, Begorra won two races, including the Southampton Handicap. The Fair stables juvenile, Sarazen II., put this establishment in third place, although it won only four races. The chief acquisition was the Youthful Stakes, which was worth 0,500 to Mrs. Vanderbilts colors. Bargellos winning of the Kings County Handicap was responsible for H. P. Whitney i ! being among the first live as the other | I Whitney racers did not acount for much. Bargellos victory was worth ,250. Essares two victories included the Wood Memorial, most valuable race of the meeting, worth 1,000 to the winner. This put the Jacques stable in sixth place. The other stable to take down more than 0,000 was W. Zieglers. His Polydor won the Jamaica Handicap, which was worth ,000. L. Fator, the busiest rider of the meeting, rode sixteen winners, *iine seconds and five thirds. D. Brice and W. Barrett tied with ten winners each. A Robertson rode eight and Mack Garner seven. The Metropolitan Jockey Club distributed 33,130. a daily average of 1,101. Complete statistics follow : The owners who won 00 or more follow: Owner. 1st. 2d. 3d. Amt.
