KITLING, badly outrun for the first half mile, circled around her opposition when leaving the back stretch and closed gamely to displace the leaders and was going away at the end under urging. SABANA raced ROSE FLAME into defeat, saved ground and held on gamely for the final drive. BRMJIIT ORB finished with good courage and outstayed SON OF HARMONY. The latter, rated along early, tired in the closing drive. ROSE FLAME forced a good pace for five-eighths and tired. LADY CREST had early speed. CLIFTONS MAID took the lead soon after the start and. being kept under pressure, resisted challenges from EI.EUSAGON and just lasted long enough. ELEUSAGON, a keen factor from the start, came through on the inside of the winner when approaching the stretch turn and fought it out stubbornly. CAMPFIRE MAID began slowly, entered contention on the inside, but could not menace the first two. REGULAR BROOM raced well placed early, but tired in the final drive. ECOMA had speed in spots. U. PONDY set a good pace, shook off rLAGCER and saved much ground, but tired when put to a drive. THE DETECTIVE raced forwardly and, making a determined bid at the eighth post, held on gamely. NOON tired after a burst of speed while rounding the far turn. CROSS WORD closed full of run from a slow beginning. CLOCK GOLF was never troublesome. PLAGUER had speed for five-eighths. MLD, hard urged from the start, finished courageously and was worked out an additional eighth. TUB HEATHEN tired under his weight when put to a drive. LADY MARIE was never a factor.
