ATOI raced as if best and, beginning slowly, had to race wide, but came with a rush when hard urged and drew out in the last sixteenth to win with much in reserve. POLAR SEA began fast and raced prominently for the entire race and held on well near the end. PATSY H. began tiring after going five-eighths. MILES PRIOR, hard urged from the start, showed a good effort. THEO. RED had to overcome* interference. MARJORY SETH had the best of the start, but tired after going half a mile. ANGEL BRIGHT, away in full motion, and racing in her best form, showed good speed and held on well to outstay LADY EMBLEM. The latter raced prominently for most of the way and saved much ground during most of the way. WOOD RIVER was allowed to drop far ont of it, then came with a rush when urged hard and would have won in another stride. PERJURY closed an immense gap tinder a weak ride. SlORT DIIKSS broke slowly and showed a high order of speed to race into the lead in the first quarter, but tired after going three-quarters. JEAN BRUCE had no mishaps. RUSSELL in the last sixteenth after a brief tilt. LIEUT. RUSSELL showed the most early speed after a fast beginning, but tired during the last eighth. JACK HASKELL broke badly and was allowed to drop far out of it, but came steadily in the last three-eighths, but showed only an ordinary effort. LOUISV11.LK came from far back in the last quarter. UNCLE BOOT, far out of it for half a mile, closed an immense gap after saving much ground and finished going gamely SWEEISTAKES showed a good effort. LITTLE GUINEA retired in the stretch. INDIAN GUIDE was taken com-pletely out of it after getting into tight quarters in the first quarter. RUSSELL GARDNER saved much ground during the entire race and finished gamely. OCEAN CURRENT was well up during the entire running. FRANK HAWLEi, away in a tangle and given a poor ride, was always outrun, but showed a good effort. CHICK UP quit badly. NORTH BREEZE raced in dull style.
