TRIALS FOR STAKE RACES Naishapur, Jim Dandy, High Foot, Gallant Knight and Others in Workouts. LOUISVILLE. Ky., May 28 —Naishapur, which goes to Fairmount Park Thursday to carry the colors of Chaffee Earl, youthful Los Angeles sportsman, in Saturdays renewal of the Fairmount Derby, was given a trial for that race and worked one mile and a quarter in 2:11%, very easily. The Omar Khayyam colt ran the quarter in :25% ; half mile in :50% ; three-quarters in 1 :16%, and the mile in 1 :43. John McKee, his trainer, is satisfied that he is at the peak of condition and is confident that he will prove a strong contender. Mr. Earls Jim Dandy, an intended starter in Thursdays Bashford Manor Stakes, here, was sent half a mile in :47%, driving, while High Foot, the Valley Lake Stables candidate for the same stake, went the same distance in :46%. Several additional hopefuls for the juvenile fixture also were worked over the fast course. They included Gallant Knight, which went five-eighths, the stakes distance, in 1 :01%, handily ; Outer Harbor, five-eighths in 1 :03, handily ; Blaze the Trail, five-eighths in 1 :01%, driving, and Sambo Brown, a half-mile in :49, from the barrier.
