CHANGE OF RAGING DATES WINDSOR. Ont., May 28.— Re-arrangement of the dates for the spring meetings at Devonshire Park and Kenilworth avoids the one-day confliction on July 6. Devonshire will open one day earlier than previously announced, that is on Thursday, June 27, and close the following Friday, thus securing one Saturday and the two holidays, Dominion Day, July 1, and the Fourth of July. Kenilworth will open on Saturday, July 6, and continue to Saturday, July 13, as originally arranged and will, of course, benefit through no confliction with the other Windsor track on opening day. Mr. Orpen has been some time securing this change in dates, but his efforts have been not only rewarded in this particular instance, but in the securing of an agreement with the rival promoters to alternate each year in taking the week which includes the Canadian and American holidays. Next year Kenilworth will get the Saturday and the two holidays and Devonshire will have Saturday opening and closing dates.
