MORTGAGE moved up fast on the outside, shook off BOZO, drew away steadily and outstayed LEONARDEAU at the finish. The latter responded gamely and finished with good courage. BOZO outran the others for the first eighth, saved ground and had no mishaps. DOUBLE DOM gained some ground. LONG PAR raced evenly throughout. PARTNERSHIP finished fast. The latter, fractious at the post, began from the extreme outside, swerved over slightly when passing the elbow and bothered SARAZEN II., then held on well. SARAZEN II. ran a good race from the start and finished well. FRUMlER finished resolutely. SUMAIR was tiring when bothered. CRACK BRIGADE, on the inside, was blocked when the leaders tired.
