READY AT MOUNT ROYAL MONTREAL, Que., June 22.— Featured by the running of the National Handicap, which attracted a good field. Mount Royal was all set today to reopen independent racing in Montreal Monday. The fact that the opening day is the French Canadian national holiday presages a big crowd for the opening, and everything was in readiness today to accommodate a banner gathering. The fine new plant is all ready and is expected to be a revelation to racegoers. The new stand is one of the finest in eastern Canada. It is unique in that patrons can step from the street cars into a covered landing, walk through a covered pathway into the grandstand, go through to the paddock and back to the mutual department without being touched by rain in case of inclement weather.
