FINAL DAY AT DUFFERIN TORONTO. Ont. June 22.— The getaway days program at Dufferin Park today was witnessed by one of the largest crowds that has visited the popular half mile track. Racing secretary Wash Norvell provided a splendid program for the last days racing for the Toronto tracks until the fall meeting. The fifth race brought out a field of the better grade platers to race six and a half furlongs. It witnessed the defeat of J. J. Mc-Caffertys Merichar, which was a well backed favorite on the strength of his two previous winning races. The son of Meridian was defeated by Marengo, which races under the silks of W. C. Morris. That good handicap performer of other days, Flag of Truce, got up in the final strides to earn third place.
